This month, those in Carmel and the surrounding areas gathered at The Synergize Hub on Range Line Road for the group’s 4:30 Meetup. This monthly networking event, hosted by Synergize, always features a local nonprofit cause.
April’s spotlight shone on Two Eight Ministries, a musicians’ collective based in Carmel. Through music, the organization creates spaces that help people struggling with addiction find the strength and resources to seek recovery.
Over the past decade, Two Eight has traveled to over ten countries. They also travel to different cities in Indiana each summer for a “Summer of Recovery” tour.
“You think it [addiction] isn’t happening in Hamilton County, but it is,” said Eric Maitlen, Founder of Two Eight. “Statistically, every one of us in this room knows someone who’s been affected.”
Centering each 4:30 Meetup around a cause allows Synergize to unite the event’s attendees around a common goal: helping others.
“One of our group’s values is ‘Ripple of Impact’, explained Arron Stanton, Founder of Synergize. “Our members believe that we should all think about our companies in terms of what we give to others instead of just what we receive.”
Shaun and Tiffany Goodyear, co-owners of Synergize, also own Indy Facets Private Jeweler. “Part of our Ripple of Impact is helping nonprofits like Two Eight,” said Shaun at the event. “We love donating jewelry to organizations that will leverage it to make a real financial impact for their causes.”
In addition to the 4:30 Meetup, Synergize hosts events for its members throughout the month. Their next open event, The Synergize Experience, is on May 7th. Those interested in meeting impact-minded friends from around the community can find tickets on Synergize’s website or Eventbrite page.
