CARMEL, IN – On April 25, Synergize took over 3Up for the group’s latest 4:30 Meetup. Each of these monthly events benefits a different nonprofit organization with an impact on people in Indiana. This month’s beneficiary was Peace Restored, a Mooresville-based nonprofit helping women find healing from difficult life events such as abuse, trauma, depression, and grief.

Ann Madison, Executive Director at Peace Restored, founded the organization based on her experience trying to find counseling that served her holistically. Peace Restored provides affordable counseling, support groups, and educational classes to adult women both locally and globally. Hundreds of women have been received help from Peace Restored since its inception.

“We want to meet everybody exactly where they’re at, to find the purpose that they’re designed for,” Madison, who spoke at the event, explained.

Madison spoke on the group’s three-step plan for future growth. The first step of the plan includes a community center, which will be realized over the next couple of years. The second step is a retreat center, which will let Peace Restored provide more immersive help to women in need. The third step is restoration housing, which will provide a living space for women who can’t stay in their homes.

“Mental health, typically, is very reactive,” Madison said. “We think it’s essential to prioritize proactive care in addition to the reactive part of it.”

Synergize puts on a 4:30 Meetup on the 4th Tuesday of every month, usually in Carmel, IN. The event includes time to chat with other attendees and a short presentation from each featured cause. Synergize donates a portion of each membership in the group to the featured cause at the end of the night. This month, Synergize raised over $2,050 for Peace Restored.

“It’s awesome to be able to give away funds, but the personal connection our members get to have with the nonprofit is also important,” said Heather Hunter, Synergize’s Director of Marketing. “Someone may not always have the extra money to spare, but they give time and talent and pass on the story of that cause to others.”

Sales pitches and business transactions aren’t part of the culture of Synergize events. Instead, the professional group focuses on building long-term relationships, which may include business deals, opportunities for community impact, or personal growth, between its members.

Synergize’s next 4:30 Meetup will be on Tuesday, May 30, and benefit Make-A-Wish OKI. Get tickets or learn more on www.synergizeindy.com.
