CARMEL, IN – Just before Thanksgiving, Synergize members showed gratitude for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Community Foundation at its November 4:30 Meetup. The event, which was held at Feinstein’s in Hotel Carmichael and sponsored by CLA, raised funds for the foundation’s upcoming Shop with Kids program.

Founded by Sheriff Dennis Quakenbush in 2019, the HCSO Community Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization creating opportunities for law enforcement officers and the community to support one another.

The organization has two Shop with Kids program days: A back-to-school shopping day in the fall, and a Christmas gift delivery day in the winter. The funds raised from the 4:30 Meetup will support the Foundation’s Christmas shopping efforts.

“Of all the things that I do, when we get to serve the kids, and I see the smiles on their faces… it’s the most amazing feeling,” says Sheriff Deputy John Lowes, President of the HCSO Community Foundation. Over a long career in Hamilton County law enforcement, including four years at the Sheriff’s department, he’s seen firsthand the impact the HCSO Community Foundation has on families in the community.

The HCSO Community Foundation has several other fundraising programs and events throughout the year, including the Heroes Run, Movember, and Coffee with a Cop. In May, the organization will host its first-ever Corporate SWAT Challenge, which is built for teams from local companies. Visit hcsocommunityfoundation.com to see how your company can participate.

“We love the HCSO Community Foundation and enjoy supporting it,” says Heather Hunter, Marketing Director. “The officers involved in this organization are going above and beyond their day jobs to build compassionate relationships with the people they serve, which is incredibly important in their line of work. We admire that a lot.”

Synergize raised over $2300 at the meetup, which will provide Christmas gifts for 11+ kids through the HCSO Community Foundation. Since its founding in January 2020, Synergize has donated over $150,000 in revenue to organizations with a local impact. They do this by setting aside a portion of each membership and each nonmember 4:30 Meetup ticket sold for their monthly featured cause.

Impact is an important pillar of Synergize, a professional relationship-building organization that fosters authentic community between its members. To learn more about the intention behind Synergize, memberships, 4:30 Meetups, and other events, visit synergizeindy.com.
