CARMEL, IN – On their first-ever double-impact day, Synergize raised funds for Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and hosted a blood drive in partnership with Versiti. The professional group, which focuses on lifetime legacy rather than transactional relationships, donated 38 units of blood to Versiti Blood Center of Indiana and $2185 to Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
Danielle Shockey, CEO of Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, spoke at the event. She emphasized the confidence that Girl Scouts gives to girls and young women, and the importance of having spaces for girls to be vulnerable while building new skills. “My life’s work has been about helping students engage, find their voice, and become who they want to become,” said Shockey, who formerly worked in education. “In Girl Scouts, I found all of that, multiplied.”
Other speakers at the event included Tara Stanton, wife of Synergize founder Arron Stanton, and Synergize members Kelly and Jason Ulm. Each of them highlighted the impact Synergize members have made on the local community since the business was founded in 2020. “You may not be able to change the world for everybody, but you can change the world for somebody,” Tara Stanton explained. “I know that Synergize isn’t about just one person. It’s about every single one of you, coming together to support these causes in Indiana.”
The money raised by Synergize will be used in Girl Scouts’ upcoming programs and provide financial assistance to girls in 2021. Donations from the blood drive will be given directly to the Versiti Blood Center of Indiana and will treat local patients.
Synergize has partnered with Versiti in 2021 to facilitate 3 more blood drives. The partnership is part of Synergize’s Ripples Of Impact (ROI) initiative, which is the group’s way to redefine ROI in the context of real relationships and community impact. On their next double impact day, in May, they aim to collect a full 50 donations.
4:30 Meetup is a monthly recurring event that benefits a nonprofit organization. In March, Synergize will be raising funds for Make-A-Wish. To learn more about Synergize’s impact goal and ROI partnerships, or to become a member of the group, visit www.synergizeindy.com.
