CARMEL, IN – Synergize is bouncing back from the pandemic in a big way. On April 27th, the group of business and community leaders raised a jaw-dropping $15,491 for DADCAMP, the nonprofit beneficiary of their April 4:30 Meetup. The funds will go to DADCAMP’s programming and growth through their 2021 season and beyond.
Founded 15 years ago by Kokomo residents Jason Braun and Doug Mygrant, DADCAMP is a ministry that builds life-changing experiences for fathers and children. Their mission, to build stronger families by building stronger fathers, has driven them to reach four states and twelve countries. Their attendees rave about the experience, built specifically to tell dads: “You Have What It Takes.”
Braun, who spoke at the event, envisions a world where every dad lives within five hours of a DADCAMP location. However, registration fees don’t cover the cost of DADCAMP’s expansion. Outside funds provided by groups like Synergize help advance the mission while keeping costs low for the families that attend.
Gabe Greene, Synergize Legacy member, Allstate Insurance agent, and outspoken DADCAMP supporter, sponsored the 4:30 Meetup. After a presentation from DADCAMP, he challenged attendees to create the group’s largest impact yet. Thanks to many individuals and two generous match donations from anonymous Synergize members, the total sets a record for funds raised at a single Synergize event.
“I’m just completely blown away,” said Synergize founder, Arron Stanton. “In 2020, we raised about $32,000 in total through the whole year. If you add this meetup’s total with our $1,600 Impact at the Top for the Baxter YMCA, we’ve raised probably half of our entire 2020 impact in the past 30 days. I can’t believe how far God is taking Synergize. It’s just amazing.”
Currently in its second year of business, Synergize revolves around two pillars: building lifelong friendships between its members and changing the world through community impact. This year, they’ve introduced their “Ripples Of Impact” initiative, a twist on ROI that emphasizes giving to inspire rather than giving to receive.
Companies who pledge to uphold the ROI Initiative, known as Synergize ROI partners, include locally owned and national businesses. Synergize recognized one of them, Indy Auto Man, at the 4:30 Meetup. In April, Indy Auto Man gifted a car to a local citizen, Vickie Hewlett, though the IAM 4 Indy program. The program is facilitated with help from Synergize members.
