Many friends in Haiti, Africa, India, and around the world know Bill as "Bill the Water Guy". He is the founder and CEO of Fountains of Hope International. His Big Hairy Audacious Goal is to help EVERY person worldwide receive life-giving, safe water by 2030. When he first started installing water purifier systems back in 2005, there was a statistic that stood out in his mind: "A child dies every 8 seconds due to waterborne diseases"! Since then that statistic has improved to 14, 19, then 29 seconds and now it is 45 seconds. "It is wonderful that we have improved this by 4x plus," Bill says, "but frankly it's still an atrocious number."
